I began my career in Property Management at the suggestion of a friend. It was not something I had planned on doing, or even knew existed until I was scheduling the interview. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work in some beautiful buildings and learn a lot about the behind-the-scenes action of running a building. I enjoy that this job allows me the opportunity to wear many different hats. In one day, I can interact with tenants, process invoices, adjust the air conditioning in a suite and diagnose an internet issue, just to name a few. I look at buildings in a different way now, wondering about their inner workings and how complex they may be to manage. When watching movies, I find myself wondering about the poor management company that must pick up the pieces after the Avengers battle through their buildings.
After growing up in Montana and going to college in Oregon, I moved to Chicago to try something new. While city life has been much different than what I was used to, there are so many activities and places and experiences to take advantage of that weren’t available to me previously. I enjoy trying out different restaurants and cuisines and attending sporting events, concerts and shows. When I’m not exploring, I enjoy cooking, baking, decorating my apartment, listening to podcasts and watching documentaries. I like to stay active by signing up for local races and using my training runs to sightsee in different areas nearby.
