I joined NAI Hiffman in 2014 – it was a busy year for me. My daughter was born in March, I moved residences in June and joined NAI Hiffman in November. Joining Hiffman revived my drive and passion for the industry. My first year at Hiffman, I was an integral part of a team that completed three building capital projects totaling $1.5MM and an 82,000 SF tenant improvement project totaling $5MM. This was the first time in my career that I was exposed to such projects and was a part of team that fostered my interests, encouraged me to pursue a leadership role and supported my decisions/visions. For the first time in a long time, I felt that I was in a career that I was meant to be in. My days in management are similar to a crap-shoot – I plan to work on budgets and the next thing I know I’m in waders cleaning out a flooded dock! I enjoy the unpredictability. I enjoy providing class A service to our clients. I enjoy working with the A-Team.

If I wasn’t in management, I would most likely be a florist or volleyball coach. I once took a flower arranging class when I lived in the city and I truly enjoyed every minute of the creativity. I played volleyball for more than 30 years and I coached for 10. I wanted to coach so I would gain and develop more patience and teach the game that I learned to love from a young age. As a coach I learned how to listen, how to teach and how to be a mentor. I believe coaching has helped me be a better mom to my daughter and a better team member.
