NAI Hiffman represents AEK Equipment in Belvidere, Illinois warehouse relocation

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL (December 13, 2016) – NAI Hiffman is proud to announce that Aaron Kendell Packaging Equipment (AEK), a newly combined global reach of Aaron Equipment Company Inc. and Kendell Equipment, signed a 4-year industrial lease at 3575 Morreim Drive in Belvidere, Illinois.  

The company, a distributer of used packaging equipment, is relocating from its previous operations at 1010 Sesame Street in Franklin Park, Illinois, where it is expanding its shop.
“AEK occupied space around O’Hare for the past 12 years and was looking for a building with heavy floor load, cranes, high ceiling, and a flexible landlord, which this location was able to provide,” said Larry Much, SIOR, executive vice president of Industrial Services at NAI Hiffman, who represented AEK in the transaction.

The property features 4 cranes, 27-30’ clear ceiling height, 3,000 square feet of office space, wet sprinkler system, 2 exterior docks (expandable), 4 drive-in doors, 31 car parking, and heavy floors. 

The landlord, Venture One, offered the ability to move in immediately along with the ability to purchase the property over time. In addition, the property’s lower operating costs and low tax base provided AEK an incentive to move to the new location.
