NAI Hiffman has been selected by American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc. (ARC Healthcare) to manage a 161,884-square-foot portfolio made up of five medical office buildings in Northwest Indiana.

The buildings are anchored long-term by Franciscan Alliance Inc., one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest with 13 hospital campuses and a number of nationally recognized Centers of Health Care Excellence. The portfolio includes 757, 759, and 761 45th Street in Munster, 919 Main Street in Dyer, and 2001 US 41 in Schererville. Each property is strategically placed in a conveniently accessible location and four buildings are within one block from their affiliated hospital.

ARC Healthcare chose NAI Hiffman to serve as the portfolio’s property manager because of the company’s history and expertise in the medical office field, coupled with its strong local presence in the metropolitan Chicago area.

“NAI Hiffman’s team has the experience and expertise best suited for this market,” said Sean Leahy, Vice President of Asset Management for New York-based American Realty Capital. “Having worked with NAI Hiffman on similar assets, I am confident their team will provide exceptional service to our tenants to ensure the project’s success.”

ARC Healthcare began its relationship with NAI Hiffman in 2013 when it acquired Rush-Copley’s medical office buildings in Aurora, Illinois and hired NAI Hiffman to manage and lease the property. ARC Healthcare has continued to select NAI Hiffman over national competitors to be its core provider of management services for its Chicagoland medical office portfolio.

In the past year, ARC has also selected NAI Hiffman to manage 3340 South Park Avenue in Berwyn, Illinois and 10837 South Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn, Illinois (Oak Lawn Medical Center). ARC has been expanding its portfolio into other Midwest markets in the last year with medical office acquisitions in Indiana and Minnesota. With its latest Indiana portfolio acquisition, NAI Hiffman’s management services team currently manages 13 properties for ARC totaling 600,000 square feet of space.

“We are pleased to expand our work with ARC Healthcare,” said Bob Assoian, Managing Director with NAI Hiffman’s management services team. “We have a great success story already with ARC’s medical office buildings across the Chicagoland market and look forward to doing the same with these five quality assets in Indiana.”
