As seen in RE Journals
Third-party logistics provider Saddle Creek Corporation has signed a lease for 415,800-square-feet of distribution space at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Elwood, Ill. Saddle Creek will take occupancy in the third quarter of 2011, moving into the 1,182,788-square-foot, 32-foot clear ceiling building already partially occupied by tenants Cypress Medical and Logistics Team.

The new tenant’s lease includes 7,000 square feet of office space with 57 exterior doors, one drive –in-door and parking for 127 trailers.

The building is located on the campus of North America’s Largest Inland Port – CenterPoint Intermodal Center – which offers the lowest dray charges in the region, heavyweight capacity roads, the ability to operate yard hostlers within the park roads, reduced fuel surcharge exposure as well as direct access to two intermodal operations: the BNSF Logistics Park Chicago and the Union Pacific Global IV.

Daniel Leahy, executive vice president and Adam Roth, executive vice president with NAI Hiffman represented CenterPoint Properties. Jack Cozzie and Jim Cummings with Grubb and Ellis Company and Ladson Montgomery with Phoenix Realty Group represented Saddle Creek in the transaction.
