SCHAUMBURG — The Building Owners and Managers Association of Suburban Chicago announced the winners of the local TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Award at its “The TOBY Dinner – A Celebration of Teamwork” event in Rosemont.

The celebration took place at Gibsons Steakhouse in Rosemont, and featured guest speaker Dave Savini, investigative reporter from CBS 2 Chicago.

BOMA/Suburban Chicago named four local winners this year. The properties were selected for the effectiveness of their overall management in 11 categories, including community impact, tenant relations, energy management, emergency preparedness, and training for personnel. Detailed property inspections, floor plans, and building standards completed their entry portfolios and allowed the judges to thoroughly examine all facets of the properties and their management. The high participation in the program again this year required four teams of judges who crisscrossed the greater Chicagoland area over two days inspecting mechanical rooms, climbing on roofs, reviewing management procedures, and rating entry portfolios.

The winners of a local TOBY Award for 2012/13 from BOMA/Suburban Chicago are:
