NAIOP 2012 Award Winners

The winners of NAIOP Chicago’s 2012 Awards for Excellence were announced last night in Chicago. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in industrial and office real estate in the Chicago area.
NAI Hiffman’s Dan Leahy and Adam Roth were awarded Industrial Broker Transaction of the Year for The Home Depot Distribution Center at CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Joliet.

Transaction Value: $86,000,000

Square Footage: 1,618,048 SF

In May 2012, Home Depot signed a lease for 1.6 million s.f. at CenterPoint
Intermodal Center, making it their second distribution center at the
intermodal development in Joliet, Will County, IL. This build-to-suit
facility will serve as Home Depot’s Stocking Distribution Center (SDC) and,
upon completion in June 2013, will be the largest building ever constructed
in Joliet, IL. Home Depot has chosen this site due to the transportation
savings and proximity to intermodal operations.
