NAI Hiffman expands medical office practice in Aurora

AURORA – NAI Hiffman has been awarded property management and leasing assignments for Rush Copley Physician Office Buildings I & II.

Both buildings, totaling just over 160,000 square feet, are on the Rush Copley Medical Center campus and were recently purchased by American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust, Inc. (ARC Healthcare).

Located at 2020-2040 W. Ogden Ave., the two Class-A medical office buildings provide physicians with suites ranging in size from 1,500 to 5,000 square feet. Situated on 98 acres of landscape, Rush-Copley Medical Center is considered to be one of the most state-of-the-art healthcare facilities in Illinois.

While Physician Office Building I is fully leased, the NAI Hiffman leasing team of Brian Edgerton, vice president, and Mike Van Zandt, executive vice president, will market existing availabilities at Physician Office Building II.

“We are excited to expand our medical office portfolio with ARC Healthcare,” said Edgerton. “The buildings are attached to the hospital which allows physician tenants and their patients to easily utilize the amenities at the hospital including food service, imaging, lab services and the on-campus Walgreens pharmacy. ”

The NAI Hiffman medical services team currently leases 25 medical office assets in the Chicago-land area totaling over 887,000 square feet. The group has collectively completed over 162,000 square feet of medical office transactions with a total value of over $16.1 million. Other notable clients include Lillibridge Healthcare Services, Inc., Stage Equity Partners, and Med Properties Group, among others.

“The Rush Copley assignment is a terrific addition to our medical office management portfolio,” said Bob Assoian, managing director of NAI Hiffman’s property management team. “We are looking forward to working with such a strong institutional owner like ARC Healthcare.”
