2013 Aeron Hockey Charity Fundraiser
Last night, NAI Hiffman participated in the 2013 Aeron Hockey Charity Fundraiser put on by Interior Investments to help raise over $30,000 for Special Olympics of Illinois. Team’s consisted of Chicago’s most competitive individuals from the Architectural & Design and Commercial Real Estate industry in the Chicagoland area. Teams battled it out in a modified double elimination tournament, all in the name of charity. Pucks were flying as teams played 5-on-5 floor hockey while rolling around in Aeron office chairs.
The NAI Hiffman Hitmen started off with a 5-2 win against Clune Construction, followed by an upsetting 4-2 loss to GOLUB. NAI Hiffman picked up their enthusiasm in the third game, beating Ryan Companies in a 7-0 shutout with star performances by Brian Edgerton and Chris Gary defending the goal.
The most memorable game of the night was against Jones Lang LaSalle. NAI Hiffman was trailing 0-3 at the half but then scored 4 unanswered goals to take the 4-3 win.
In the final game, NAI Hiffman put up a fight against Leopardo Constructions, ultimately ending with a heart-breaking 2-1 loss.
Sarah Lejman and Kyle Barrett were the rookie MVP’s, each scoring countless goals to secure three well-deserved wins, bringing the NAI Hiffman final record to 3-2.
