Women in Real Estate Awards Honor Van Reken-Englund

Connect CRE selected NAI Hiffman Executive Vice President Aubrey Van Reken-Englund as a recipient of its annual “Women in Real Estate Award”. The annual award included recognition for 11 honorees in the Chicago & Midwest region 2022. A consistent Top Producer for NAI Hiffman and tenacious advocate on behalf of her clients, Aubrey has built an impressive career and earned a respected reputation in Chicago’s commercial real estate community.

As Executive Vice President, Office Services with NAI Hiffman, Aubrey Van Reken-Englund is a tenant rep, working on behalf of clients looking for office space throughout suburban Chicago. Her efforts and customized style earned her a placement in the NAI Hiffman Producers Club as a top producer for the last several years, while becoming NAI Hiffman’s first female principal. Her methods and approach have been successful in driving year-over-year transactional value by 24%.

Van Reken-Englund leads her clients down a path built on trust that best fits their specific needs. Her strategic negotiation approach focuses on long-term partnerships, resulting in concession package savings that have been two and three times the market standard. She also understands that mtaining strong relationships with active brokers and competing market firms can lead to wins. Her tenacity and insight is already pushing her total amount of square footage leased or sold by more than 60% over 2021.

Outside of work, Van Reken-Englund is an active philanthropist, working with various non-profit/501c3 organizations. These include Special Olympics Illinois, Our Children’s Homestead, School Association for Special Education in DuPage, Agency on Aging and DuPage Senior Citizens Council. Her involvement in boards and activities helps ensure they have adequate mission-supported facilities and investments.

She also works to positively influence other women in real estate, providing mentorship to women entering the industry and NAI Hiffman.
