Carrie Szarzynski Named Crain’s Notable CRE Leader
Hiffman Senior Managing Director, Head of Management Services, Carrie Szarzynski has been named among the Crain’s Chicago Business 2024 Notable Commercial Real Estate Leaders.
Carrie was elevated to the role of Senior Managing Director, Head of Management Services in January, 2024. She leads Hiffman’s property management group of 160 employees with a nationwide portfolio of more than 600 buildings. Her biggest responsibilities include the oversight of the entire Hiffman management portfolio, growth of existing clients and pursuit of new management business. Her additional responsibilities include oversight of all onboarding and training for all Hiffman engineers and management professionals. Carrie also chairs Hiffman’s recruiting committee, an internal group tasked with constantly monitoring best practices for employee benefits, internship structure and recruitment of prospective employees.
Carrie’s ability to convert strategic partnerships directly into new business has been a driving force behind the national expansion of Hiffman’s management division. Her infectious enthusiasm for (and knowledge of) the CRE industry, knack for developing effective systems, and ability to assemble and guide efficient teams has built trust and loyalty with both clients and colleagues. Since 2018, the Hiffman management portfolio expanded from 383 Chicagoland properties to over 600 assets across the country. As demonstrated by these numbers, Carrie’s direction brought the firm new client partnerships while fortifying the company’s existing client base. While promoting business development efforts, Carrie also fostered expansion and enhancements to the management operations platform by developing reliable systems that offer clients consistent, high-touch experiences unmatched in the industry.
