Del Monte Inks 10-Year Renewal at Calumet Business Center

NAI Hiffman arranged a 10-year lease renewal for Del Monte Foods at 9860-80 S. Dorchester Ave., a 48,000-square-foot warehouse within the Calumet Business Center in the South Side’s Cottage Grove Heights neighborhood. Del Monte signed the original lease in 1999.

EVP Chris Gary represented Austin, TX-based landlord Glen Una Properties in the transaction, which will include Glen Una adding four docks to the warehouse. The property is part of the 12-building, two-million-square-foot Calumet Business Center industrial park, also owned by Glen Una.

“Calumet Business Center is a truly one-of-a-kind business park, with strong ‘stickiness’ of tenants that need either rail service or support local manufacturing processes,” said Gary, who represented Ashley Capital in the sale of Calumet Business Center to Glen Una in 2017. “As a testament to the enduring value of this space, Del Monte has been here for 20 years and has committed to 10 more.”
