Multilevel industrial facilities offer challenges with opportunity

Multilevel industrial facilities bring an opportunity to place modern distribution spaces in an urban core. However, some unique challenges mean it will take time for the concept to gain traction. 

 

Kelly Disser, executive vice president, explained to REJournals – Chicago Industrial Properties how cost, location, and tenant usage could impact future development in the area.

 

“The space is hard to come by in Chicago, and these buildings require a dense infill location that checks all boxes regarding proximity. It may prove difficult to see too many of these buildings because of land constraint.”
