John Heiberger is President and Chief Executive Officer of NAI Hiffman and Hiffman National. John’s primary role is to ensure Hiffman remains a trusted partner to its clients and other constituents. He is responsible for delivering strong company performance, while facilitating the organization’s continued growth and strategic development. Under John’s leadership, the Hiffman companies provide comprehensive brokerage, management and advisory services to institutional and private owners and occupiers of commercial real estate in the Midwest and across the country.
John brings more than 30 years of diverse experience in the financial services and commercial real estate industries to Hiffman. Prior to joining Hiffman in 2023, John served on the executive leadership team of CIBC Bank, USA, where he was Head of Institutional Real Estate and Head of Portfolio Risk Management. Before his time at CIBC, John held roles as Chief Strategy Officer for The PrivateBank and Group Senior Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank.
After graduating from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a bachelor of science in business, John earned his MBA in finance and real estate from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
John serves as a member of the board of directors for both NewRoot Learning Institute and Fenwick High School. He is a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow, a former board member of NAIOP Chicago and an emeritus board member of Aspire Chicago.
