Retail property managers serving tenants, landlords, and consumers

Retail property managers have always been known for their versatility. Yet the last two years have meant helping retailers with several unique challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic while becoming experts in areas like health and safety, technology, environmental responsibility, and social governance.

Erika Bennett, senior regional property manager, manages the Shops at West End in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. She explained to Ben Johnson from Commerce + Communities Today at ICSC that “all retail centers are hoping to be a place where they can serve the community, to be somewhere that people can come get groceries to feed their families and to get close.”

That has meant navigating both a supply chain environment that is anything but routine and working alongside tenants on labor shortages, rent payments, or outdoor experiences.
