Sarah Cannella 2023 Connect CRE Next Generation Award

Congratulations to Sarah Cannella, Hiffman National Director of Property Management Operations on being selected as a recipient for the 2023 Connect CRE Next Generation Award!

As Hiffman National’s Director of Property Management Operations, Sarah Cannella has helped guide the company through a huge expansion. At the start of 2022, Hiffman’s total property management portfolio included 452 buildings and just under 2,500 tenants. Hiffman began 2023 with an additional 22.3 million square feet, with 624 buildings under management and 3,000 tenants served.

During the past year, Cannella’s team has led the way in Hiffman’s expansion into areas including Kansas City, Charlotte, NC and multiple cities in both Texas and Florida. To prepare for this expansion, Cannella relied on foresight and instincts to create a successful sustainable infrastructure.

Cannella is currently leading the development and implementation of a new system of proptech that solidifies Hiffman as a firm with a proven client-first approach. By shaping this technology around what clients need instead of a one-size-sits-all approach, Hiffman property managers are spending more time in the field with necessary information at their fingertips rather than sitting behind desks, buried in paper and “treading water” with basic needs.

In the last 12 months, Cannella has been at the forefront of innovating property management tools used at Hiffman and regularly transfers that knowledge to all property management employees at the firm. All property management team members have a myriad of learning tools at their disposal thanks to her team’s creation and oversight of Hiffman U, a training program that ensures the consistent quality of client service.

These are just a few reasons we chose Sarah Cannella as one of Connect CRE Chicago & Midwest’s 2023 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
