Surgical center comes to Munster

Plum Creek Surgery Center plans to open in Munster next fall.

The center recently signed a lease to occupy 10,500 square feet at the Lake Business Center at 9200 Calumet Road.

The surgery center joins a range of medical providers at Lake Business Center, including Dermio Dermatology, Midwest Orthopedics at Rush and The Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Plum Creek Surgery Center will operate on the southwest side of the medical center.

Antony Miocic of Crown Point-based Latitude Commercial and Brian Edgerton of Chicago area-based real estate services firm NAI Hiffman represented the landlord in the transaction.

“This is a prime location within a medical corridor in Northwest Indiana,” they said in a press release. “Plum Creek will provide a much-needed service to the community.”

Plum Creek Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center. They will provide same-day surgical care that does not require hospital admission.

Latitude Commercial provides commercial real estate services such as purchasing, leasing and commercial property management. They serve areas in Indiana and Illinois.
