The World Stands with Ukraine

A note from Hiffman CEO Dave Petersen:

Over the last few days, we have become aware of the atrocities unfolding between Russia and Ukraine. I want to express Hiffman’s solidarity with the people of Ukraine, their fight to maintain freedom, and their right to determine how they wish to be governed. To witness this nation and people standing together, united in purpose, is beyond remarkable and inspiring. I hope for other world leaders worldwide to watch and learn what unity of purpose, love of country, the commitment of a population, and what the cost of retaining freedom looks like. It’s not eloquent words, sound bites, political party membership, and lawmaking prowess that builds freedom’s foundation.

Throughout history, we have seen tests of democracy, decency and humanity – in 1776, World War I and II, and in the early days of 9/11. The fight for freedom is playing out again, this time in Ukraine. We are learning by today’s world events yet again what standing as a United America should and could look like.

We must never forget what the chaos of tyrannies can produce. So many of us have lived through, fought, witnessed, and been impacted throughout history by ayatollahs, dictators, terrorists, bin Laden, Hitler, and now Putin’s need to conquer and enslave others. To negotiate, placate, or ignore the evil they bring to the world has always cost America, and the world, an unfathomable price.

My deepest gratitude and appreciation go to all the Ukrainian people for shouldering this terrible burden at their doorstep – we stand with you. I also want to thank each of you for your compassion and support of your colleagues who may be impacted by the increasing tensions and devastation caused by this conflict.

My hope and prayers are for the safety and well-being of the people in Ukraine and that peace will prevail quickly.
